Get Ready: IP Addresses Changing for IBM Software Download Servers

Hostnames are NOT changing. This will occur on June 12, 2022.

If you haven't seen or heard yet, on 12 June 2022, the public IP addresses for the IBM software download servers used will undergo an IP addess change. This will affect the z/OS, z/VM, and z/VSE product and service orders submitted from Shopz, z/OS, z/VM, and z/VSE service orders submitted from ServiceLink, and z/OS service orders submitted from SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER. Notice that these are the methods that we use to get service and products for z/OS!

However, the good news is that the hostnames will not change! We understand clearly that users don't want the hostnames changed, and just to repeat: the hostnames will not change. If you have any applications that are using IP addresses, do take note. Firewall rules might need updating to permit access even though the applications use a hostname. Do not remove the current IP addresses because they are still used for other delivery functions. Instead, the new IP addresses should be added.
